Anniversary Celebration Success!

Thanks for helping us have a successful anniversary celebration.  We passed out samples, gave huge discounts and had lots of fun.  The cookout on our lawn was great thanks to the fine folks from Roseland Organics.  They drove down from Michigan and cooked burgers for us.  The burgers were wonderful!

Hot air balloon follow up

This year our balloon event did not go as planned.  Denise Coffman and Carrie Crook were supposed to get a ride this year.  Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate at all.  There were four chances to go up but the wind was too high on every occasion.  Our balloon captain was very apologetic but safety had to come first.  We are giving Denise a nice gift basket to help make up for the missed ride.

Bruno’s Bakery

Starting in October we will be offering hot soup!  This will be great for lunch or a light supper.  The soups will be all-organic and will come from Bruno’s Organic Bakery.  So the next time you are in, pick up a pint or a quart of soup.  MMMM, good!

Eastwind Acupuncture event!

Wednesday, Oct. 24^th is National Acupuncture day!  Eastwood Acupuncture is celebrating by having an open house, guest speakers and more.  They have invited me to be one of their speakers. Loose change was collected last month to help take our local veterans to Washington D.C.  Vicki Gadd at the Campbell Street Café spearheaded this effort.  She has worked tirelessly promoting and fundraising for this great idea.  There is still time to help them make their goal.  Stop in at the Café 4245 Meridian Woods Drive for lunch, and purchase some home made cookies.  Call 531-1800 for more information.

Max Millionaire money collection

Thanks to all of you who clipped the Max money from the Times.  I took a box stuffed to the max over to Spring Valley Shelter.  They said that they had received “BILLIONS” of donated money to be used to bid on large items for the shelter.  Thanks for helping!
