Maintain Bloodsugar -Tip #1
We all get sugar cravings. Whether eating dessert after every meal (real addiction) or just on special occasions, make sure to eat sugar with protein, fats, and fiber. This slows the rate of absorption of sugar into the bloodstream, lessening the harmful effects.
A great example of a healthy dessert would be fruit with nuts. The fruit has fiber and the nuts have protein and fat. Sliced apples with almond butter sprinkled with cinnamon is a perfect quick fix to a sugar craving. Or the next time you make your cherry cobbler, forgo the flour and sugar topping and use ground nuts, organic butter, and stevia instead!
