Using the Coupon Tool

Do you want to offer your visitors a little something extra? Try using the Coupon Tool, and provide them with special web-based incentives.

The Coupon Tool allows you to create coupons which your visitors can print out and redeem for savings on your goods and services – they can even share the coupons with their friends via email! These coupons can do as much as you’d like them to, and will automatically expire based upon your settings.

Adding the Coupons Toolbar
Adding coupons to your blog is easy.

•Log in to your Blog
•Click the Open Dashboard button
•Click Tools Manager
•Click enable under the Coupons Tool

You’ll now see the Coupons Toolbar in your Blog’s Toolbar.

Adding a new coupon
To add a new coupon, begin by clicking the (+) new coupon link in the Coupons Toolbar.

You’ll see a form allowing you to create new coupons for your Blog. The Coupons Toolbar has 4 elements:

•Posted Date – this is the first day your coupon will be valid. Coupons will not appear on your Blog until this date.

•Expiration Date – this is the last day your coupon will be valid. Coupons will stop being displayed on your Blog after this date.

•Title – the name of your Coupon, i.e. “10% off Chicken Fried Muffins”

•Description – what the coupon is offering, i.e. “This is good until May 31st, but we are offering our 10% off 1 DOZEN (no less than 1 dozen) Chicken Fried Muffins. Come on in to get some!”

Click Save to add the coupon to your Blog.

When a visitor clicks the coupon, they’ll be given the opportunity to print the directly from your Blog.

Coupon Management
When you’re logged in to your Blog, you’ll be able to view, edit and delete all current and expired coupons.

Expired Coupons
A coupon is placed in the expired coupons category after its expiration date has occurred. Your visitors will not be able to view expired coupons, but you will still be able to manage them.

Editing and Deleting Coupons
Coupons can be easily changed or removed from the Coupons Toolbar. Simply log in to your Blog, find the coupon you’d like to manage, and click edit or delete.

Sharing Coupons
Your visitors can easily share coupons with friends. When a coupon is added to your blog, it is displayed with a Share link, which your visitors can click to easily share the coupons with friends.
