Using the Flickr Photo Tool

They say pictures are worth a thousand words – why not add a few thousand words to your BizBlog the easy way? The Photos Tool allows you to share your Flickr photos with your visitors.

Flickr
Flickr is an online photo sharing community. It allows its users to freely share their digital photos. To register for an account, surf over to flickr and follow their easy instructions to create a new account.

Let’s get started!

After you’ve created your Flickr account, you’re ready to start adding your photos to your BizBlog! First, let’s enable the Photos Tool:

•Log in to your LBB account
•Open your Dashboard
•Click the Tools Manager
•Find Photos, and click the “Enable” link beneath it.

This will add the Photos Tool to your BizBlog’s Toolbar.

Your Flickr URL
After you’ve created your Flickr account, and added your Photos Tool to your BizBlog, you’ll need your Flickr URL. The LBB Photos Tool uses this URL to find your photos.

Getting your Flickr URL is easy :
•Log in to your flickr account
•Click on the “Your Photos” link

•Copy the URL from your address bar on the “Your Photos” page.

A note about your Flickr URL
Currently, the LBB Photos Tool does not support personalized Flickr URLs. Use your default flickr URL instead. We’re currently investigating how we can provide this functionality to our users – please stay tuned!

Enabling your Flickr account
After you’ve added the Photos Tool, you’ll need to enable your Flickr account.

•Click the plus (+) to expand your Photos Tool options.
•Click the Edit Flickr account link to expand the Flickr options.
•Enter your Flickr URL
•Enter the number of Photos you’d like to display in your Photos Tool. This will display the most recent photos you’ve added to your Flickr account.

Keep in mind, you don’t have to have your own Flickr account to use the Photos Tool – you can add anyone’s Flickr photos to your BizBlog, as long as they’re published publicly.

After you’ve enabled your Flickr account, your BizBlog will now display your Flickr photos in your Photos Tool.

Flickr Photo Notes
The LBB Photos Tool will also display any notes you’ve added to your Flickr photos. To edit your Flickr photo notes :

•Log in to your Flickr account
•Find the photos you’d like to add a note to
•Click the area under the photo you’d like to add a note to

•Type the note you’d like to display on your Photos Tool

•Click Save

Your Photos Tool will now display your Flickr photo notes!

Congratulations!
You’ve just added your Flickr Photos to your BizBlog!
