Using the Video Tool
by lbb_Kris
If a picture is worth a thousand words, then videos must be worth gazillions!
The LocalBizBlogs video tool allows you to share any Google Video and YouTube videos with your visitors. Keep reading for a step-by-step walk through on adding videos to your BizBlog.
Getting Started
To add the Video Tool to your Toolbar :
• Log in to your BizBlog
• Click the Open Dashboard button
• Click Tools Manager
• Click the enable link under the Videos tool
This will add the Video Tool to your Toolbar.
Find a Video
Next, let’s find a video to add to our BizBlog. Personally, I’m a big fan of
Espresso Café’s delicious Lattes. I’m a bigger fan of latte art. Let’s add a video displaying some latte art to your BizBlog.
As I mentioned earlier, we can use either YouTube or Google Video videos. First, lets try
YouTube.
A search for “Latte Art” brings up several clips. I found a great one, displaying many different latte art demonstrations. When you find a video you’d like to add, you’ll want to copy the web address (or URL, if you’re a geek like me). It will be used later in the Video Tool.
If you’d rather use a
Google Video video, simply locate one on their site, and again, copy the web address (URL).
Add the Video
Now that we’ve got a video we’d like to add, head back to your BizBlog, and click the (+ add a video) link. You’ll be given a simple form to add your video.
Title: This is what will be displayed as the title of this video. It does not have to be the same title that you found on YouTube or Google Video.
Video URL: This is the URL of the video we found earlier. Simply paste the video’s URL in this box.
After you’ve filled out the Title and Video URL, click Save to add it to your Video Tool.
