In April 1943, Phillip and Jenny Bacino opened John's Pizzeria on State Street in Calumet City, Illinois. They named their pizzeria after their first born, John; two years later, Michael was born. Two years ago this month, John's on State Street closed due to John's retirement. But the good news is that our family is carrying on the wonderful tradition that Phillip started. Pizzas have been hand-tossed and made with only the best ingredients for 65 years! The Bacino Family has locations in Crown Point, Hobart/Merrillville, Munster, and Whiting, Indiana.
