Master luthier crafting stringed musical instruments specializing in tamburitzas, native to Yugoslav heritage. Nationally recognized receiving many awards for his work, Milan, a retired tambura musician, and is now teaching his craft to the next generation. He is also a writer and accomplished author. His articles appear bi-monthly in the the acclaimed SERB WORLD, USA cultural magazine. His book, "Tamburitza America", is a must for any Slav household, documenting the history of the tamburitza in America. Milan builds all tamburitzas, repairs all stringed instruments and is now teaching mandolin, guitar, and tamburitza building.

Learn to Build a Guitar in Milan's Class
Mittal Steel in Indiana Harbor and Burns Harbor has a wonderful program for their employees. JobLink provides excellent programs for continued education for qualified employees. Three years ago Milan was contacted to teach his craft for their ongoing program. Milan has been teaching adult employees how to build guitars, mandolins, and tamburitzas and is enjoying it very much. He is not only meeting wonderful people who are interested in this unique craft, but finds the experience very rewarding. Featured in the photos are some of the men in his classes working on their project. Pictured below is George Kesely working on his project and Milan instructing Rick Briones as he works on his instrument.
