Dream On Me have received five reports involving these bath seats, including a report of a near drowning involving a 12-month-old baby girl. The baby did not require medical treatment according to the recall notice. The recall includes all Dream On Me bath seats.

The recalled gills were manufactured by Guangdong Vanward Electric Co., Ltd., of China and imported by L G Sourcing, Inc., of North Wilkesboro, N.C.

According to the recall notice, if improperly installed, the hose connecting the gas tank and regulator to the burner control can touch the burner box and cause the hose to melt and rupture when the grill is lit. This poses a fire and burn hazard.

The recalled grills were sold only at Lowe's stores nationwide from November 2011 through May 2012 for about $270.

If you have one of the recalled grills, you should immediately stop using the grill and inspect the grill to make sure that the gas hose runs along the outside of the grill cabinet and passes through the round hole in the side panel. You should contact Guangdong Vanward Electric at (888) 584-3648 for revised instructions and a warning label to apply to the grill that shows how to properly install the hose and the regulator.

This recall involves battery-powered Range Rider ride-on toy cars with an off-road vehicle body style and plastic tires. The ride-on cars were sold in pink and tan colors.

The recalled cars were sold through Fingerhut catalogs and online at Fingerhut.com and Gettington.com from September 2010 through May 2012 for between $200 and $230.

According to the recall notice, the folding step stools can break or collapse unexpectedly when in use, posing a fall hazard to consumers.

The recall involves 13-inch high folding step stools. The step stool is plastic and has a handle for carrying the stool when it is folded. The stools have a single step and come in beige with a brown top. The stools, which were used as promotional products, have various company logos imprinted on the side panel beneath the top of the stool.

The recalled stools were distributed free by various companies as promotional products between March 2012 and May 2012.

The Merrillville personal injury law firm, Schlyer & Associates, the Aggressive Trial Lawyers, is warning of a recall issued by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission of about 900,000 Push ‘N Snap Cabinet Locks imported by Dorel Juvenile Group (DJG) Inc., of Columbus, Indiana.

According to the recall notice, young children can disengage the cabinet locks, allowing access to cabinet contents and posing the risk of injury, due to dangerous or unsafe items.  DJG has received 200 reports of locks that did not adequately secure the cabinet, including reports of damaged locks. Of the reported incidents, the firm is aware of 140 children between the ages of 9 months and 5 years who were able to disengage the locks and gain access to the cabinet’s contents. In three of the reported incidents, the children who gained access swallowed or handled dishwashing detergent, window cleaner or oven cleaner, and were treated, observed and released from emergency treatment centers.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission,  the recall involves Safety 1st Push ‘N Snap cabinet locks with model numbers 48391 and 48442. The model numbers are printed on the back of the product and on packaging. The locks are used to secure cabinets with two straps that wrap around the knobs or handles on a cabinet door. When the product is in the “lock” position, a green triangle is shown through a window on the device. The Safety 1st logo is embossed on the front of the lock. Locks manufactured between January 2004 and November 2010 are included in the recall. The date of manufacture is embossed on the back. The arrow on the date wheel points to the month and the numbers of either side of arrow represent the year of manufacture.

The recalled locks were sold at Bed Bath & Beyond, and other retail stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com from January 2004 through February 2012 for between $2 and $4.

If you have any of the recalled locks, you should immediately remove the recalled locks from cabinets and contact DJG at (866) 762-3212 for a free replacement Push ‘N Snap lock with model numbers HS158 or HS159. When removing the recalled locks, consumers are urged to immediately store dangerous items out of reach of children.

The Northwest Indiana personal injury law firm, Schlyer & Associates, the Aggressive Trial Lawyers, is warning of a recall issued by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission of about 835,000 Tassimo Single-Cup Brewers.  The Tassimo coffee brewers were imported by BSH Home Appliances Corp., of Irvine, California.

According to the recall notice, the plastic disc, or T Disc, that holds the coffee or tea can burst and spray hot liquid and coffee grounds or tea leaves onto consumers using the brewer and onto bystanders, posing a burn hazard.

The recalled Tassimo coffee brewers were sold at various department, mass merchandise and home improvement stores nationwide and on various websites, including www.tassimodirect.com, from June 2008 through February 2012 for between $100 and $250. The Tassimo Professional model was sold directly to hotels and food service providers and they are being contacted directly.

According to the FDA, Vita Foods has recalled packages of its smoked salmon sold at major supermarkets around the country due to potential listeria bacteria contamination.  Listeria bacteria can cause e fever, nausea and diarrhea and potentially worse problems in the elderly and very young or people with weakened immune systems according to the FDA.

Honda issued this recall to repair a software problem that could damage the automatic transmission.

The recall includes 1.5 million vehicles in the United States.  For example, globally, the recall affects four-cylinder Accord sedans for the model years 2005 to 2010.

His Honda recall also includes the CR-V crossover for the model years 2007 to 2010 as well as the small SUV Element from 2005 to 2008.

If the software is not updated, the automatic transmission in these vehicles could be damaged if the driver quickly shifts between gears. That might cause the engine to stall or make it difficult to put the car into park.  Therefore, the automatic transmission in these vehicles could be damaged if the driver quickly shifted between gears. Honda said the problems might arise if the transmission were quickly shifted between the reverse, neutral and drive positions. A driver might do this in an attempt to dislodge a vehicle in mud or snow.

According to the news release, Honda will begin informing U.S. consumers at the end of August and noted the software update will take about a half-hour, but the vehicle may need to remain at the dealership for a longer period of time.

According to the recall notice, the screws on the safety latches and outlet covers can loosen and/or break. When this happens, young children can gain access to electrical outlets and other potentially hazardous items.  Apparently, the recall pertains to Prime-Line child safety drawer and cabinet latches and outlet covers with rotating receptacle covers.

The recalled latches were sold at Ace Hardware, Bostwic-Braun, Cal-Do-It Centers, Do-It-Best, Friedman Brothers, Menards, Orgill, The Andersons Inc. and True Value stores nationwide between October 2010 and June 2011 for between $2.50 and $2.70. The recalled outlet covers were sold at Ace Hardware, Cimarron Lumber & Supply, Do-It-Best, Friedman Brothers, Handy Hardware, Menards and W.E. The Northwest Indiana personal injury law firm, Schlyer & Associates, Aggressive Trial Lawyers warns of a recall issued by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission,  of 13,000 Circo Children’s Task Lamps sold only at Target Stores.

According to the recall notice, the lamps may overheat, causing the adhesive inside the lamp socket to melt and migrate into the bulb area of the socket. The cooled glue can adhere to the light bulb base and make the bulb difficult to remove which can result in a broken light bulb, posing a risk of laceration to consumers. Melted flammable glue that migrates onto the electrical components of the lamp poses a risk of fire.

Four styles of the children’s task lamp are included in this recall with the names Striped, Sports, Dot or Flower Dot and have a label with the UPC number on the bottom according to the recall notice.

The Merrillville personal injury law firm, Schlyer & Associates is warning of a recall issued by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission of 240,000 Adventure Playsets Wooden Swing Sets.

According to the recall notice, the wood in the posts of the fort sections on the swing sets can weaken due to rotting, posing a fall hazard.  The recalled swing sets come with swings, slides and ladders. Each set has a fort structure that uses green or cranberry colored plastic coated 2”x 4” wood upright posts and a green nylon fabric covered shade. The sets were sold under the following names: Bellevue, Bellevue II, Belmont, Durango, Durango II, Sedona, Tacoma, Tacoma II, Ventura, Venture II and Yukon,. The name is printed on the manufacturer’s instructions that came with the play set.

The recalled swing sets were sold at Academy Sports (the Yukon); Mills and Menards (the Ventura/II) all from 2005 to 2007; Mills (the Belmont) in 2004; Toys-R-Us (the Bellevue/II); and Walmart (the Tacoma/II, Durango/II, and Sedona). The units sold for $300-$600.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a recall of 20,000 B-Nimble Strollers imported by Britax Child Safety Inc., of Charlotte, North Carolina the Northwest Indiana personal injury law firm of Schlyer & Associates is warning.

According to the recall notice, an audible click heard when the brake pedal is pressed can give a false impression that the brake is fully engaged when it is not. When the brake is not engaged, the stroller can move unexpectedly posing a risk of injury to the child occupant.

According to the FDA, Dole Fresh Vegetables is voluntarily recalling 2,880 cases of DOLE® Italian Blend salad  and 442 cases of Kroger Fresh Selections Italian Style Blend salad , due to a possible health risk from Listeria monocytogenes the personal injury law firm of Schlyer & Associates is warning.

The recalled salad packages were distributed in twelve U.S. states (Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Wisconsin) and three Canadian provinces (New Brunswick, Ontario and Quebec). 

Only the June 19, 2011 Use-by-Date of Italian Blend salads identified above are included in the recall.

According to the FDA, Listeria monocytogenes is a bacterium that can cause foodborne illness in a person who eats a food item contaminated with it. The Norhtwest Indiana personal injury law firm, Schlyer & Associates, the Aggressive Trial Lawyers, is warning of another recall issued by Mazda Motor Corp.

Mazda is recalling 103,300 cars from model years 2008 and 2009 due to problems with motors on windshield wipers, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The recall should start around July 15, 2011.

The recall involves 2008-2009 Mazda3 and Mazdaspeed 3 vehicles made between Jan. 7, 2008 and Nov. 28, 2008 and affects a possible bent ground terminal in the windshield wiper motor.

Popular energy saving light bulbs manufactured by Telstar Products d/b/a Spring International, Inc in Brooklyn, New York have been recalled.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission over 310,00 light bulbs are being recalled since they can overheat, which can cause a fire hazard.

The recalled energy saving light bulbs were sold at various discount stores from August 2010 through March 2011 for between $1 and $1.50.  You can find additional information and a picture of the recalled lights on the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission website.

Lake County, Indiana Lawyers Advise of Jaguar Recall

According to the defect notice filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, there is a problem that could cause power steering  fluid leaks in the engine compartment. The recall includes 6,085 vehicles built from June 27, 2009, through March 10, 2010.

The loss of fluid would make the car harder to steer and could also cause a fires if it came in contact with a hot surface under the hood, according the the recall notice.

If you or a loved one has a recalled vehicle, you should contact your local dealership where technicians are expected to replace the power steering fluid pipes. The service is free of charge. Owners can contact Jaguar at 1-800-452-4827.
