CHEF JOHN ROONEY

Chef John Rooney is a graduate from the Culinary Institute of America in Upstate New York. John was an Executive Chef for a leading National hotel chain before taking up the position of Executive Chef at Sand Creek County Club in Chesterton, Indiana. In 2004, John opened "The Culinary Connection" to bring a better awareness of culinary knowledge to the home cook. Chef Rooney has won several prestigious awards and is honored to hold both Silver and Bronze ACF medals. We are very pleased to welcome him as Head Chef of our new U-Cook Cooking School, bringing an entertaining culinary experience!

KITCHEN CABINETS (4)

KITCHEN CABINET RESURFACING

Our most economical way of brightening and renewing your kitchen cabinets is to resurface them. When we resurface kitchen cabinets we spray a two-part urethane coating over them. Most kitchens take less than one week. We start by removing all doors and hardware, then clean and sand the cabinets. We carefully mask off all areas not to be resurfaced and then we primer the cabinets. Finally, we top coat the cabinets with our exclusive two part urethane coating. This coating is a solid (non translucent) color. It gives the cabinets a â€œpaintedâ€ or â€œlacqueredâ€ look. But it is better because paint and lacquer tend to yellow and chips easily, our two-part urethane does not. When we resurface your cabinets, all options are possible. We can re-use your existing hardware or replace it; we can reuse your existing doors or replace them; we can resurface your cabinets in any color or a combination of more than one color. Your imagination is the limit.

KITCHEN CABINET REFACING

Cabinet refacing is the process of replacing cabinet doors and relaminating the face and end panels with a matching material. This process makes old cabinets with solid frames look like new. Cabinets can be refaced to look like any new cabinet style. We have lower priced options which include: Rigid Thermoil Foil Doors that are raised panel Appalachian Oak, Natural Maple, and many more. Or for slightly more solid wood doors such as flat panel oak stained in the color of your choice. We can reface your cabinets in any custom or high end finish you can imagine for less time, money and mess than brand new. Finishes such as natural cherry w/a chocolate glaze or pickled raised panel maple or many more!

KITCHEN CABINET REFINISHING

Cabinets of superior quality can be refinished in order to revitalize the appearance or change the color. If the doors, cabinets and panels are all solid wood (not a wood veneer) often refinishing is the best option. If you like the style of your door, sometimes it is practical to refinish it. The door can either be stripped and stained back to itâ€™s original color or changed if you want a different look.

KITCHEN CABINET REPLACING

We sell high quality reasonably priced semi-custom cabinets. A semi-custom cabinet is a high quality cabinet at a stock cabinet price that has some custom options available at a reasonable up-charge. We will come to your house and measure the space you have to work with and help you design a whole new kitchen or add a couple of cabinets to enhance what you already have.

BATHROOM BATHTUB & SHOWERS ACRYLIC LINERS

A custom made acrylic liner can be installed over your existing tub or shower with no mess, no odor, and in just one day. If you have a tub or shower that has seen itâ€™s better days, but donâ€™t want to go through the bother and mess of ripping out and starting over, there is another alternative - a retrofitted bathtub or shower. A custom made bath liner can be installed over your existing tub or shower. A tub liner is manufactured using a single sheet of acrylic, that is rigid and flexible. Our sales staff will take exact measurements of your existing tub or shower and the new liner in manufactured to fit perfectly. The high gloss acrylic that we use is twice the thickness of acrylics used in the finest spa manufacturing and retains heat three times longer than porcelain. The surface will not dent, crack or peel and is color fast so it will not yellow or fade. It is also very easy to clean; with proper care it will retain its gloss for many years. A mild non-abrasive cleanser will work the best. We recommend liquid Spic and Span, Ivory Liquid or Scrub Free. The tub or shower can have matching accessories installed such as walls, grab bars, shampoo caddies, soap dishes, ceiling panels and wainscoting.

Any old bathtub or shower can be made to look like new. Even if it is scrubbed out, stained, chipped or just an outdated color. We can resurface it, saving you up to 80% of the cost of replacement. Resurfacing is spraying our exclusive two-part urethane coating over your old fixtures. We can resurface ceramic wall tile, porcelain, fiberglass, acrylic, terazzo and more. The new finish not only looks like new, but makes the old surface easier to clean too. Some customers only need one spot repaired. We can repair fiberglass, acrylic and porcelain chips or cracks.

VINYL

Vinyl is the second most popular and now comes in hundreds of updated patterns and shades.

LAMINATE

The flooring to watch for now is laminate, it is more durable but less expensive than traditional wood floors with the same look.

HARDWOOD INSTALLATION

However, wood flooring is the most sought after for all living areas. We can install new wood flooring or refinish existing.
