St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church

Serbian Orthodox Church, Merrillville, IN, was established in 1914 in Gary, IN. Divine Liturgy Sundays 10am, Fr. Marko Matic officiating; formerly served by Very Rev. Jovan Todorovich, retired after 36 years. Liturgical responses by Karageorge Choir. Sunday School starts 10am. in the new St. Sava Learning Center. Serbian School starts at Noon during 8-week sessions. Join us, everyone welcome! Folklore dance group and choir always accepting new members. Attend Sunday Luncheons after Liturgy, hosted by families or organizations, serving delicious homemade food and desserts.
South Wing SOCIAL CENTER NOW AVAILABLE for hosting social events, newly renovated and tastefully decorated. Showers, graduation parties, meetings, wedding receptions, baptisms, birthdays, and retirements can all be accommodated.

Hurry and join the fun in St. Sava's Parking Lot. Be prepared to unload your treasures at our COMMUNITY YARD SALE this Saturday, June 21st. This great location will optimize your exposure in the heart of Merrillville. Everyone welcome to participate, see details in Featured Blog Posts for sign ups and contacts.

Shop from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. for unique items we know you can't live without! Bring your neighbors and friends for a fun event. Rain date: Sat., June 28th.

All what you have to do is on the bottom of the comments, You will see Blog Tags, Click on the Community Yard Sale and All the Featured Blogs of that subject will come up with the form to sign up. Also if You look to the right, You will see Events.
One of the Events is Community Yard Sale. If you read it and Click on Click Here, You are able to get the sign up form also. September 14

SUNDAY SCHOOL REGISTRATION & FIRST DAY OF CLASSES 9:30am - 11:30am

Parents, please meet at 9:30 a.m. outside the Church Office in the North Wing of the Church on Sunday, September 14th to register your children for Sunday School. Children should proceed to their classrooms for class by 9:45 a.m. Registration Fee is $25 for the first child, and $10 for additional children. We also need parent volunteers for substitute teachers and to assist for special events. Contact Gina Orlich at 462-2584 for additional information or to volunteer.

Pre-School Right Start Enrichment Program at St. Sava Church

First-time ever Pre-school Enrichment Program will be offered to members and the community at the St. Sava Learning Center. Great classes will be offered during the week to help your child develop socially and boost his/her creativity. Parents and grandparents are encouraged to participate.More details to follow.
