Choir Performance at Serb Fest - Video
Three choirs from Merrillville and South Bend decided to join together and perform for this year's "One Love Serbian Song" Festival in Chicago during Memorial Day weekend. They had so much fun practicing and performing together, so they decided to stay together and continue performing as a group. The dining crowd at St. Sava's Serb Fest was treated to a casual performance. Milan Medich directs, and Nick Sever, Steve Baroevich, Dan Orlich, and Mike Jaksich have all volunteered their time for this choir. Many new friendships have resulted from this effort. Membership is open. Contact your church choir director for details.
Srbadija Folklore Group Performs at Serb Fest
In spite of the intense heat, all 3 folklore groups entertained the crowd in full costume on Serb Fest Saturday. Several dancers were missing because of family vacations planned, and they had no formal practice all summer. Thanks to all the dancers for a great show and special treat!

In March of 2009, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor and went in for a biopsy. During surgery a huge cerebral bleed developed causing Jovan to stroke and have many serious complications. CALLING ALL KIDS: JOIN US SATURDAY NIGHT!
Written by Gorana Bilbija, Sunday School Student:
Hey
St. Sava Students let's have some fun!!! As
you all know we will be going to the County Line Orchard on October 18th from
5:00 to 8:30. It is located on 200 County Line Road in Hobart, IN. You should arrive early so that you and
your family can enjoy the various activities that they have to offer. Isn't that
awesome! If you arrive early you will be able to go apple & pumpkin picking.
They also have a country store there where you can get souvenirs. Wow!!! You
should coordinate your time so that you will be able to catch the hayride back
to the campsite. Unless, you would rather walk. So don't forget at 5:00 all
of us will join together at the fire pit for some dinner, games,
hayrides, and the corn maze. The dinner is scheduled to be at 6:00 so don't be
late. Families will have to supply drinks, side dishes, desserts, & the supplies
for s'mores. We will provide the chicken, so don't worry about that. If you
would like to go through the corn maze it will be $5 per person. But we will pay
the $5 for the children. If you would like to you can bring chairs, flashlights,
& bug spray. When
you arrive make sure you park by the corn maze off of Cleveland. And we ask you
to do 1 more thing for us. Please let Kim Mileusnic know if you are coming or
not, so that we know how many tickets and how much food we should
get. I
hope I see you all there on October 18th.
