Kathy's Friends Truly Care
Kathy Baroevich's commitment to our church comes from her heart. She has been a life - long member, a Sunday School teacher, and our choir director for many years. She has manned the cevap grill at every Serb Fest and helped at countless fish fry's. Regardless of the weather, she never misses church, stays for every Parastos, sings for every wedding and funeral Pomen Service. Her soprano voice is both beautiful and comforting. She has a rewarding career as an educator. Perhaps it's in her genes: every member of the Baroevich family has selflessly served our church. For all Kathy has done for us, it was time for us to show just how much we truly appreciate her. Saturday afternoon, many friends stopped by the south wing to show their support for her after she recently suffered a devastating fire that nearly destroyed her home and claimed the life of her dog. We wish her well as she rebuilds her home. Thank you to all the lovely ladies from Kolo for hosting and decorating, and to other organizations for their support of this event, and to everyone who baked "goodies" for the dessert table. Paul Jancarich composed and sang a song in her honor. Mismo Tamburitza Orchestra played for everyone's enjoyment. Thanks, guys!
(Kathy with her niece Caitlyn)

Dear St. Sava Member: January 4, 2008
We are delighted to inform you that the South Wing is progressing and very near completion. We anticipate having a fully functional beautifully remodeled Social Wing by mid to late January. The Social Wing will provide us with a place for our membership to gather as well as the opportunity to generate much needed revenue for our Church.
The Sunday School learning center on the lower level is also near completion and it too looks terrific. With individual classrooms, permanent storage units, new restrooms for both the boys and girls, and a refreshment area, the Sunday School learning center is a quality addition.
Thanks to the all-volunteer crews that have been working day in and day out, taking time out of their busy schedules and home life to make sure that our parishioners have a place to gather socially and a quality Sunday School area for our children! Their contributions of time and sweat cannot be measured.
Although the labor for the South Wing has been predominately volunteer labor generating thousands and thousands of dollars in cost savings, we are now incurring some costs for new carpeting, paint, wood flooring, tile, etc. We are also going to incur costs to purchase new banquet tables and chairs. As most of you know the majority of our banquet tables and chairs are very old and have seen their better days, as a result we must purchase new tables and chairs for the Social Wing.
We are asking our St. Sava members for your donations to be used for the purchase of tables and chairs for the new center. After careful consideration and on-going negotiations with vendors, we have selected tables that are durable, high quality, lightweight and easily stored. These tables and chairs alike will provide us with years and years of use.
At this time, we are calling upon the parishioners to consider making a donation that would cover either a table or chairs or both, so please consider donating. Following are the costs of the tables and chairs. We have included an envelope and ask that you complete the form below and mail in your contribution towards one of these items, if you are able.
In addition to your donation for the purchase of tables and chairs, we also will accept any donation directed to the renovation of the South Wing. All donations for the South Wing should be marked “South Wing Donation†on your check and that donation will be deposited in the Restricted Account.
Thank you so very much for your kind consideration and donation and we look forward to your visiting and enjoying your new Social Wing for many years to come!
May God Bless You,
Dennis Svilar Father Marco Matic
