Symmetric Media Video Production

Part of my involvement at the 24 Hours of Daytona was editing and uploading the TRG video updates. Ron from Blue Coast Films shot one minute interviews, handed me the tape and I did the rest. Each update featured a team member describing the team's current status.

This was the first time TRG had up-to-the-minute videos posted to their website directly from the track, so we didn't know what to expect. Their web guy called Ron on Monday to report a huge spike in traffic - something like 2000% more traffic than usual he said. That's proof they have an audience, and proof they are using the right medium to reach them.

A side-note...
I ran into problems when leaving the track for the first update - they were not letting more cars enter the infield until 8pm for some safety code. That meant I couldn't get back in for several hours. I decided to trek it on foot over to the strip-mall across from the track with my laptop. I walked around the parking lot searching for wireless signals. I found many, but none worked. I eventually found a strong public Wifi signal and uploaded the updates from the curb!
