Conference and event videography is our specialty, and that's why (the people-to-people lending marketplace) hired us again this year to cover their annual conference in San Francisco. Videos from Prosper Days 2008 have been posted to Google Video and YouTube. Hi-Resolution Flash videos are also available.

100k Prosper Video Downloads, and counting...

posted by symmetry on Nov 9th, 2007 at 2:14 pm

This week I decided to check on the view stats for the Prosper Days 2007 videos we created back in February. I was surprised to find they topped 100,000 combined views in just seven months. That's impressive. Especially considering that each are about an hour in duration. That's a big time investment these days.

Prosper could think of this in terms of thousands more people being able to attend their conference. Numbers like that can make a significant impact on a growing company. Being on popular video sites like YouTube and Google Video, as opposed to hosting the videos themselves, seems to have been the right choice for Prosper. They not only save money, but they benefit by having their video in places that have a large audience.

I have been asked to come back next year to capture Prosper Days 2008. See you there!

Prosper Days Web Videos Now Up

posted by symmetry on Mar 21st, 2007 at 10:38 am
We've wrapped up post-production on Prosper Days. All videos can be viewed here.

My favorite of the bunch is the Town Hall Meeting, where founders Chris Larsen and John Witchel chat with venture capitalist Robert Kagle (Director of eBay) about the challenges of building a successful company in the Web 2.0 era. In the spirit of transparency that drives Prosper's ideology, the bulk of the discussion is focused on their intents for the company and is driven by audience questions. I personally enjoyed the back story of how Prosper originated.

It's worth a view if you're interested in startups and entrepreneurial ventures. It may even motivate you to become a member of Prosper.

Back from Prosper Days

Just walked in the door from Prosper Days. This morning I uploaded a few clips from Monday's keynote on YouTube. Check it:

We provided video coverage for the Prosper Days User Conference. Think of as an eBay for money. It's a place where people borrow from other people. You can be a lender or a borrower. Lenders make more interest than what they would get at the bank. Borrows save the same way by paying a lower interest rate when borrowing from Prosper lenders.
