The real estate market in NW Indiana
The real estate market in NW Indiana has felt the backlash of the national media over the past 6 months as buyers have backed off waiting to see what the predictions are for real estate investments. I'm happy to say that there is nothing negative happening in the region and the market is becoming very active as buyers want to take advantage of the current low interest rates and the great deals available. NW Indiana has a lot of positvie economic growth which will continue to make this area a good place to invest in real estate. There are a lot of retail investors coming in the market and continued growth in the steel mills, transportation industry, and utility companies. I have already seen the residential real estate sales increase over the past 30 days and have even had multiple offers on properties that have been on the market for quite a while. There have been multiple offers on properties in Griffith, Highland, and St. John that I know of and I'm sure that Wold Realty isn't the only local broker seeing the increase.
