The World will definitely be a little less wonderful without the loving and kind personality found in Sharon Unkefer.  On August 13, 2008, she lost her battle with cancer, but never lost her battle with the gift of changing people’s lives.

This picture was just taken at our regional convention in May of this year. It was my one and only chance to get to know an inkling about a woman who had the opportunity to touch countless lives with her giving heart and desire to see that everyone that crossed her path was left with a piece of her. Upon our meeting, I walked up to her and broke the ice by simply saying, “Has anyone ever told you that you look like Vicki from the soap opera One Life to Live? She immediately laughed, and began to tell me of a few stories in which she had experienced as the result of her appearance.  In that moment, I felt as if I had known her forever. We were just old friends catching up and that we were definitely equals. She was just as all the top earners in the company had described her. She did not waiver because she was such a successful person. Instead she became more loving and caring each moment I continued to talk to her. From those few moments, I took away a large piece of her thoughts, her ideas, her persona and her will to live for God to the utmost of her ability.

Thank God for allowing someone with such great influence and a giving heart to take a moment of time to change the life of a young lady striving to be successful in life. That one moment will forever be etched in my mind and fuel me FOREVER! The world needs more Sharon Unkefer’s.
